Write Ministry

This ministry writes cards from home each week to our first time guests thanking them for visiting GFBC.

Local Projects

Project teams do anything and everything! We build handicap ramps, paint, build rooms, gut buildings, remodel ministry centers, help out schools and many other things to help our community. Most projects occur during weekends and volunteers can choose which projects best fit their schedule - new volunteers are always welcome! Team members will receive notifications of projects via email.

Discovery Clubs

Discovery Clubs are Bible clubs that meet in public elementary schools from 3:00 - 4:00 PM once a week for 23 weeks. Volunteers will be provided with training and may teach in any school of their choice. From Genesis to Revelation, you can help teach the children of the world all about Jesus. The lesson plans are already done. Colorful, easy to follow stories of the Bible that communicate God's salvation and plan for their lives. Are you looking for a place to make a difference? This is it! There is no better way to take the gospel into the world than by starting in the classroom. Come and allow God to use you to help make an eternal difference!

100 Oaks

Do you have a heart to serve on the mission field but can't travel afar? There are four (Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and United States) different countries represented in this community under one ministry. Opportunities include teaching children's Bible class and tutoring. Serving this community occurs primarily during the school year on Thursday afternoons.

Breakfast Team

Throughout the school year, our breakfast team goes to various schools in our area and serves breakfast to all the employees. By 8:30 AM all employees are fed, spirits lifted high, doors opened for ministry and the team is ready to head home. Breakfasts typically occur every other Thursday during the school year.

Seasonal Opportunities

Special Events Team

This team helps with outreach special events like Magnolia Festival, Fall Festival, Gardendale Christmas Parade and many other special events within the community. Get involved and be part of the team!

Christmas Blessing Tree

Giving the gift of hope and the love of Jesus Christ this Christmas. The Christmas Blessing Tree serves to help families and children who would otherwise not be able to receive gifts on Christmas morning. You can get involved by becoming a sponsor or a volunteer. Blessing tree sponsors "adopt" a child to provide Christmas for and are given the needs and wants list of their child upon sign-up. Blessing Tree volunteers help recruit sponsors, collect gifts and distribute to parents.
