Love God. Love People.

We strive to see students of every age discover who they are in Jesus Christ and become the world- changers they were created to be. We desire to reach and inspire our students with dynamic outreach, powerful events and relevant discipleship. With these in mind, we strive to see students in a real relationship with Jesus Christ and rooted in community with other believers.

  • Student ministry meets at the south campus (940 Main St.) for MDWK Service. We start at 6:30, but students are always welcome to come hangout before and after service.

  • What better way to grow in community than in lifegroups? Lifegroups meet each Sunday during the 10:50 AM service for a time of fellowship and discipleship. Each group is divided into smaller groups by gender and grade with at least two adult leaders.

June 5-8
Panama City Beach, FL
Laguna Beach Christian Retreat

THE BEST WEEK OF THE YEAR. Join us for one of our favorite student ministry events on June 5-8 in Panama City Beach, FL!

We will have powerful worship and preaching, small groups, and a rec competition to determine who wins this year’s CAMP CHAMPS.

REGISTRATION is OPEN

COST: $495*

Use code BEACH to register for $365 until April 15th*

DRAFT PARTY IS MAY 6TH AT THE SOUTH CAMPUS FAMILY LIFE CENTER

WHERE WILL WE BE STAYING?

We will take 300 students and 50 leaders to Laguna Beach Christian Retreat in Panama City Beach, FL. We rent out their gulfside dorms and Moses House. Click the button below to see LBCR.

WHAT WILL THEY BE DOING?

Throughout the four days that we are at Laguna, students will spend time in worship sessions, powerful sermons, small groups, free time (pool, basketball, ice cream shop, etc.) and rec. We will have 10 teams made up of our students and they will compete for CAMP CHAMPS!

WHAT DOES FREE TIME LOOK LIKE?

There is a total of 5 free time hours spread across each day.  They have 4 areas that we allow them to go: pool A, pool B, Beach, and Dorm Rooms.  We have leaders and parents spread through all outdoor areas and the dorm rooms.  Free time is given in two 2-hour increments and two 30-minute increments.  Student are not allowed to leave the campus.

HOW WILL THEY GET DOWN THERE AND BACK?

We will have six charter buses taking students down to PCB and back. If you know that your student will not be on the bus either time, please email Sydney.

HOW ARE SMALL GROUPS, TEAMS AND ROOMING GIVEN OUT?

Students will be put on teams during our draft party on May 6th. Once we are at Beach Week, they will only spend about an hour or two each day with their teams. We do not change teams or switch people on teams. Rooms will be placed with friends and grades. Their small group will be either their grade/gender or their room. Rooming will not be announced until we get to camp.

WILL THEY NEED EXTRA MONEY WHILE THEY ARE DOWN THERE?

At LBCR, there is an ice cream shop, cafe and gift shop. They will need money if they plan to buy anything from there. They will also need money for lunch on the way to and from camp.

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE WHILE AT CAMP?

During rec sessions, we ask for everyone to wear their team colors. You can never be too over the top!! Please no glitter or feather boas. Also, if you are painted up you cannot get in the pool.

We also ask that girls wear tankinis, one pieces, or if they only have two pieces to cover up with a tank top. This is due to the fact we are very active with games and events at camp. This is always the safe call.

When we are in worship sessions, students must be in a shirt, shorts/pants and shoes of some kind. You cannot be wet when you come in for worship.

Lastly, we will have dress up theme nights every night of camp. These are also nights where everyone goes all out for their costumes. Theme nights are Spring Training (jerseys, sports gear, workout), Graffiti Night (white shirts, glow markers, neon markers) and Anything But Human.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8

Our student ministry’s goal this year is to encourage students to spend one week on mission. That is 168 hours of the entire year spent serving. Whether that is a mission trip through our student ministry or church, serving in the community or serving locally at our church, we want you to serve “here, there and everywhere.”

HERE (GFBC)

There are plenty of ways to serve at our church through VBS, nursery, serving at banquets, outreach ministry, Operation Christmas Child and more. Stay in the know about serve opportunities at GFBC by joining our Serve Crew. This will be our first point of contact when there is a serve opportunity or volunteer need. Click the button below to be added to the Serve Crew groupme.

THERE (Community)

It is just as important to share the love of Jesus in our church and across the world, but what about right across the street? What about at your school? Maybe your elderly neighbor needs their grass cut or the single mom down the street needs a free babysitter. We want you to intentionally love on this city.

EVERYWHERE (Mission trips)

GUATEMALA - HOPE OF LIFE | JULY 11-18

$1900

9th-12th

A $250 deposit is due on November 19th to the link below.

TAKE THE TOWEL

Students will receive a towel at the beginning of the fall semester at MDWK. This towel is meant to travel with you wherever you are serving. At the end of the year, your towel should be dirty.

INK + IRON

Ink and Iron is a pop-up shop from students for students to help raise money for any church mission trip, camp or retreat. We will open the shop the first Wednesday night of every month at the south campus. Reach out to any student team member to be a part of the next Ink + Iron.
