We strive to see students of every age discover who they are in Jesus Christ and become the world- changers they were created to be. We desire to reach and inspire our students with dynamic outreach, powerful events and relevant discipleship. With these in mind, we strive to see students in a real relationship with Jesus Christ and rooted in community with other believers.

Student ministry meets at the south campus (940 Main St.) for MDWK Service. We start at 6:30, but students are always welcome to come hangout before and after service.
What better way to grow in community than in lifegroups? Lifegroups meet each Sunday during the 10:50 AM service for a time of fellowship and discipleship. Each group is divided into smaller groups by gender and grade with at least two adult leaders.
ALL STUDENTS WILL MEET IN THE CELEBRATION ROOM BEFORE SPLITTING INTO SMALL GROUPS.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Our church is celebrating 150 years in the month of September. To help celebrate, each Wednesday night service will be centered around our four core values: Worship God, Make Disciples, Love People and Share Jesus. You can also find more information at gfbc.com/150.

Read below to find out what our student ministry will be doing for the month of September.

September 2nd: Worship God

We will gather with the rest of the church at the foot of the cross for a special outdoor service with worship music, prayer time and a message from Pastor Kevin. Students will NOT meet at the south campus on this night.

September 9th: Make Disciples

Students are at the south campus for a worship and preaching on how to make disciples.

September 16th: Love People

Students are at the south campus for worship and preaching. We will also be making baskets for the local Senior Center.

September 23rd: Share Jesus

Students are at the south campus for worship and preaching. They will get practical tips on evangelism and how to share Jesus with those around them.

September 27th: 150 Celebration

We will be celebrating our church’s 150 year anniversary on Sunday, September 27th at 9 am and 11 am at the north campus. There will be no lifegroups this morning.

September 28th-30th: Revival Nights

We will conclude our 150 Anniversary Celebration with three nights of worship and the Word by three guest speakers, Shane Pruitt, Fred Luter and Thomas Hammond. Students will NOT meet at the south campus this week.

GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP

Girls Weekend

Friday, November 20th:

6:00- Doors Open

7:00- Session #1

9:00- Late Night - “This one is for the girls” (No dress up for this night)

10:00- Dismissed

Saturday, November 21st:

9:00 AM- Doors Open + Breakfast

10:00 AM- Session #2

12:00- Lunch

1:00- Breakouts

2:30- Dismissed for afternoon break

6:00- Doors Open Back (Come Dressed in Red Carpet Attire)

7:00- Session #3

9:00- Late Night (“Red Carpet Night”)

10:00- Dismiss for weekend

WHERE IS THE EVENT TAKING PLACE?

Girls Weekend will be at the North Campus (316 Mtn. Crest Pwky Gardendale, AL 35071)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Your ticket includes meals, a journal for the weekend, snacks, coffee, an ornament making class, activities, an exclusive girls ministry mock neck sweatshirt, and many more surprises!

IS THIS A SPEND THE NIGHT EVENT?

No! Every girl loves sleeping in her own bed, so we will not have host homes for this event. However, we do encourage for girls to host other girls at their own homes during this weekend!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Only your Bible.

WHAT IF I CAN ONLY COME TO PART OF THE EVENT?

No problem at all! We will love to have you at any point of this weekend, just let us know when you will be with us! You can email Sydney Yarbrough at sydneye@gfbc.org.

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR FOR RED CARPET NIGHT?

It is completely up to you. We want each girl to feel comfortable and beautiful, whether that’s dressing like you’re going to church or to the prom! *We do ask that all dresses be modest in nature.

HOW CAN I HELP?
